We generally operate an appointment system for trying wedding dresses on. The system is for our brides benefit as we have limited space in our changing area, and like to give you individual attention. Having an appointment ensures that when you visit our shop your journey is not wasted. If you arrive without an appointment and wish to try gowns on, you may be disappointed as the fitting room is often fully booked. However, if it happens to be free then you are welcome to try wedding gowns on. It is often helpful if you can arrive a few minutes before your appointment is due to begin in order to pick out the dresses you would like to try. *If you are going to be late or can't make your appointment we really appreciate a quick call, or email to let us know.* On the day of your appointment, think carefully about who to invite. Ideally we suggest just one or two people whose opinions you really value. Too many people with differing tastes and opinions can really confuse the issue. Remember, above all this is your special day, and you will probably want your dream wedding dress to be a surprise for as many people as possible! OrderingExplained Once you have decided on your dream wedding dress, we will measure you and use the designers size chart to determine which size is best for you. Most dresses, unless specified are made in standard sizes, so there is quite often some alteration to be done once your gown arrives.When we have determined the size and other details we will write everything out for you to check through and sign to say that you are happy. We need to have a minimum of 50% deposit on anything you are ordering. If this is too much to pay in one go then we may be able to arrange for you to pay by installments if there is enough time before your wedding. Your dress will then be ordered for you and once it arrives at the shop we will check it over thoroughly and contact you to arrange when you'd like to come in and try it, and also to arrange payment of the balance. We will begin your fittings approximately 6 - 8 weeks before your wedding date, and will arrange with you a suitable date to collect your wedding dress. Most of our brides collect their dress during the week leading up to the wedding, many on the day before to avoid any creasing once we have steamed / pressed the gown.
